    Need Help ?

To clean up Cache, Cookies, Temporary Internet Files and History of the Internet Explorer is a basic rule for working with the Internet Explorer and belongs to our advices for every user who is asking for help on our forum. We suggest our users to configure their Internet Explorer as to be seen here: Internet Explorer Privacy & Security Settings.

The Internet Explorer should better be taken only for the Windows Updates of Microsoft. Please have a look here to find out more about Surfer's Security. Our Security Tips are written to inform our users about all they need to know.

A user who won't change to an other browser should use one of these programs to get the most possible security for the Internet Explorer:

Browser Hijack Retaliator 4.5.0 Build 471
    IE-Spyad
    SpywarebBlaster

If someone needs some more information about how to clean up the temporary folders of the browsers and Windows, please have a look here: Cleaning-Tools.

Users who would like to know more, are asked to read the Tutorials of Experts anywhere on the Whole Wide Web. (Dead links will be updated soon.)

A user who has cleaned up his system will get our tips how to avoid infectimg his machine again:

Using Windows XP please protect your Administrator Account. Use a normal User Account to surf on the Internet.

Take care that your Operation System, your Browsers and every Software you use is up-to-date.

Windows XP and ME: are you done cleaning up your system? Turn off System Restore. Right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check Turn off System Restore. Click Apply, and then click OK. Reboot. Turn System Restore Back On. Right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*. Click Apply, and then click OK. Create a new System Restore Pint. Please do it now. The reason is, that there are all kinds of software and malware gathering in that area. It must be cleaned up too.

It's important that your firewall is perfect configurated and enabled. Do you need some information? Please have a look here: Firewalls & Information.

Please take care to use an up-to-date AntiVirus Program with an On Access-Scanner on your system. Need more information? Please have a look here: Anti-Malware (free). Do you know that you may not run more than one AntiVirus with an On Access-Scanner on your system? They can't work together. It might happen that your system crashes, using more then one of these programs at the same time.

Ad-Aware SE, Spybot Search & Destroy are a Must for every system.

To controll a system, we advice you to use one of these programs:
WinPatrol, RegistryProt, Winpooch, TrojanCheck or StartupMonitor.

Use Sysinternals Tools as 'Process Explorer' and 'Autoruns' to get as much information as possible over your system.

Once more: please clean up your machine, when having finished a long day's work on the Internet, with one of these Cleaning-Tools. Windows automatically stores great amounts of data on your hard drive that document your work and your usage of the internet. In time this data gets to be so large that it influences the efficiency of your system. Additionally, this data can be used by spyware programs to document your internet history and to accede to your personal data. The most effective way to avoid malware on your system is: clean it up. There are very good free programs. The only thing you have to do: use one of these programs daily.
